Have you ever realized how the simpler something is, the harder it is to explain it? Take this as an example:
If I asked you explain "dictionary", you would say that it's a book containing the definitions of words. But if I asked you to explain "word", you would just say like, "well, a word is a word." You might possibly go on to craft a verbal definition of it, saying that it is perhaps ... a collection of letters that ... convey a meaning. Even if you do manage to pin down a definition of something simple, you may quite possibly just be making things worse for whomever you are explaining it to.
There are so many other things in life that work the same way. We often think that things like intuition, friendship and love are really complicated, when in reality, they are the simplest things that you could find.
It is meaningless to try to pin a definition to it, or to figure out what it is or what is should be.
Just accept that it is something simple.
Don't overthink it, because the more you do, the more you distort it into something that it isn't.
